The Donut Tree
About: The Donut Tree
This mural is based on Jerry Kencke’s iconic photograph taken May 19, 1980, one day after Mr. St. Helen’s erupted, sending this dramatic purple ash cloud over southern Idaho. The Donut Tree no longer exists except in the memories of the many grown-up kids who used to play there.
